Human Dominance or Human Vulnerability?: Reviewing Amitav Ghosh’s The Living Mountain: a Fable for Our Times

The term ‘Anthropocene’ – the human-dominated epoch has emphasised evolution of human beings as dominating species causing environmental changes and affecting current climate crisis. proposal Anthropocene new geological integrally entangles world with geophysical world, insisting that history can hardly be separated from history. Realising both worlds are entangled, it underpins an consciousness among thinkers. Their rests on their understanding beings’ vulnerability to being intertwined fragile ecosystem. In this review, I attempt place Amitav Ghosh’s Living Mountain: a Fable for Our Times (2022) within discourses which consider in epoch, while remaining vulnerable destructive activities.
